Arthur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol Betting Tips

There is a chance to crown an undisputed light-heavyweight champion of the world when Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol clash in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

The blockbuster contest is part of a packed card which also features Jai Opetaia, Chris Eubank Jr and Ben Whittaker as well as a British heavyweight title rematch between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke.

Dmitry Bivol to beat Artur Beterbiev @ 7/10

All four major light-heavyweight world titles and two unbeaten records are on the line in a huge Saudi Arabia showdown between Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) and Bivol (23-0, 12 KOs) on Saturday night.

Not only are there belts and unbeaten records riding on the Riyadh bout, but the contrasting style of the two fighters make for an even more intriguing contest.

Beterbiev is a beast who has amassed 20 victories from his 20 professional contests, and all of the 39-year-old’s successes have come by stoppage.

That is an imperious record and it’s the sheer power and strength that has propelled the Canada-based boxer to the WBC, WBO & IBF light-heavyweight titles.

There were thoughts that Beterbiev may have been slowing down when briefly troubled in a bout against Britain's Anthony Yarde at the start of last year, but those appeared to be dispelled when dominating and stopping another Brit in Callum Smith in January.

However, for all that Smith is a former world champion there hasn’t been a meaningful success on his card since the Merseyside man beat John Ryder way back in 2019.

The form of the victory over Smith has to be open to question, and the fact that Yarde was able to cause Beterbiev problems suggests that Bivol has an opportunity to shine.

The 33-year-old is a supremely skilful and technically gifted fighter and there is substance to the Tokmak fighter’s perfect 20-0 record.

The WBO light-heavyweight champion defeated the excellent Gilberto Ramirez in 2022 and there is a high-profile victory over super-middleweight king Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on Bivol’s card too.

The 33-year-old will have to stay out of the way of Beterbiev's power and pressure, but Bivol has the skills to pick the 39-year-old off and make the three-belt world champion look like an aged fighter.

At 7/10, Bivol is a bet to be crowned the undisputed light-heavyweight world champion in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

Fight to go the distance @ 4/6

A small play on the fight to go the distance at 4/6 could also be worth a play and land a double cop on Saturday night.

Bivol will be wary, but also well aware, of the power of Beterbiev’s punches and will no doubt look to keep the fight at range and the 39-year-old at bay.

Of course, it’s not as simple as just staying out of the Canada-based fighter’s way but Bivol does have the skills, movement and conditioning to make Beterbiev miss and maintain the distance for the full duration of Saturday night’s Saudi showdown.

The 33-year-old does have 12 stoppages on his 23-fight professional record but the Tokmak man isn’t a fighter who will look to stand and trade in the middle of the ring and nine of his last 10 victories have come by unanimous decision.

A punt on the fight to go the distance would cover that eventuality as well as the Bivol win while offering a saver if Beterbiev was to outpoint the WBA champion.
