BERLIN CALLS FOR 15/2 BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS NIGHT 9 ACCA
Luke Littler is rampant. His dominant display in Newcastle saw him win his fourth BetMGM Premier League Darts night so far and included a 6-0 whitewash of Stephen Bunting.
It’s going to be a mammoth task for anyone to stop him on Night 9 in Berlin – and that challenge falls at the door of Chris Dobey.
Hollywood couldn’t get the win he craved in front of his home crowd in Newcastle on Night 8 and will not be relishing a tussle with the in-form defending champion.
Opening the night is Bunting, who still remains without a point at the foot of the table. Nathan Aspinall is his opponent here, with the Asp showing clear moments of quality amid periods of inconsistency to make two finals.
Elsewhere, second-placed Luke Humphries faces Rob Cross while rounding off the quarter-finals is Michael van Gerwen against Gerwyn Price.
Both sit inside the top four with Price winning two nights yet exiting at this stage five times and MVG yet to win a night but with just one last-eight defeat so far.
An intriguing contest awaits in the German capital. Here is the full quarter-final running order for Night 9:
BetMGM Premier League Darts Tips: 15/2 Night 9 Acca
- Aspinall to beat Bunting
- Cross to average over 97.5 vs Humphries
- Over 6.5 180s in Dobey vs Littler
- Van Gerwen to beat Price
Leg 1 – Nathan Aspinall to beat Stephen Bunting
The BetMGM Premier League dream is turning into a nightmare for Bunting.
After eight nights he has yet to pick up a single point and last week suffered the indignity of a whitewash at the hands of Littler – the first in the competition since Van Gerwen did it to Aspinall in 2023.
With the competition now past the halfway stage the doomsday scenario of completing the tournament without picking up a point will be weighing on his mind; right now, it is difficult to see where that win comes from.
He averaged over 102 against Littler in Newcastle but was still blown out of the water. The Liverpudlian failed to take any of his four checkout opportunities and has yet to even take a game to a deciding leg so far in the Premier League.
Aspinall, conversely, was narrowly edged out by Humphries in last week’s semi-final. The Asp has shown real flashes of form of late and his recent European Darts Trophy win – in Germany, it should be pointed out – will have instilled even more confidence.
The Stockport thrower has managed two runner-up finishes so far and, sadly for Bunting, this is the perfect chance for him to close the gap to the top four.
The Asp has already beaten Bunting once in the tournament – a comfortable 6-2 win on Night 5 in Brighton – and recent performances leave little expectation of a different outcome here.
Aspinall to win the match at 9/10 seems a very plausible outcome – doubly so when BetMGM is paying out early when your player takes a three-leg lead, regardless of the final result. More information can be found here.
Leg 2 – Rob Cross to average over 97.5 vs Luke Humphries @ 5/6
Cross has played well in the Premier League without being spectacular.
His outstanding nine-darter in Brighton was a real highlight, though he wasn’t able to build on that momentum to win the night.
In fact, Voltage has yet to make a final at all. His consistency in opening matches means he remains in with a shout of the top four – he has lost just twice in the quarter-finals and his 98.71 three-dart average is third-best behind the two Lukes.
It was against Cool Hand that Cross hit that perfect leg back on Night 5 in Brighton, clocking an average of 111.19 across the game as he went on to win 6-4.
Even in defeat against the same opponent in Exeter, he averaged 98.81, so 5/6 for Cross to average over 97.5 in the match is a sensible shout.

Leg 3 – Over 6.5 180s in Chris Dobey vs Luke Littler @ 11/25
If Littler’s form so far has been impressive, then his maximum hitting has been simply extraordinary.
The world champion has hit 102 180s in the competition so far, more than double that of any of his rivals.
The record over a full BetMGM Premier League Darts campaign is 128 – set by Littler on his debut last season – and at this rate he could break that by Easter.
He’s up against Dobey in Berlin, a man who also has a penchant for a 180 himself. Hollywood may have struggled for results but his maximum hitting has been strong. Despite a dip in recent weeks his average of 3.27 per game remains second only to Littler.
It comes as no surprise, then, that we’re heading to the 180s market for this one.
Last week in Newcastle was the first evening with fewer than 40 maximums (37) since the opening night in Belfast but we’re predicting that was merely a blip – particularly with the Nuke in this sort of form.
Five of his last eight Premier League matches have had over 6.5 180s and he hit a staggering 10 on his own in a win over Michael van Gerwen in Cardiff.
These two have hit well over 1,400 180s in the last year and shared seven in their only Premier League meeting to date. As such, over 6.5 180s in the match at 11/25 looks good value for the accumulator.
Leg 4 – Michael van Gerwen to beat Gerwyn Price @ 8/11
Price has had a rather strange Premier League campaign so far.
The Iceman has looked impressive during his two nightly wins but, aside from those, has made the last four just once and only been there on a single occasion since Night 3.
Two consecutive defeats to Cross ruined his homecoming in Cardiff on Night 7 and his Night 8 chances in Newcastle. The Welshman looks to have gone back into his shell somewhat, with the swagger of the earlier rounds lacking.
Van Gerwen will be aiming to seize the opportunity here and bounce back after suffering only his second quarter-final defeat in Newcastle.

The seven-time BetMGM Premier League champion has been solid, if not at his show-stopping best. His average of 98.08 is the fourth-highest, though no player has won more matches by five or more legs than the Dutchman.
MVG has won five of his last seven Premier League meetings against Price – though he was thumped 6-1 by Price in Nottingham.
Despite that Nottingham result most of Price’s matches – 11 of 13 to be precise – have gone to a ninth leg or more.
This will be a tight one, too, but the seven-time champion will get the job done – 8/11 for Van Gerwen to win the match completes the Night 9 acca.
Night 9 Odds & Specials
In what feels like a copy-and-paste sentence, Littler heads to the Uber Arena favourite. He is 10/11 to win in Berlin with Humphries once again second in the betting at 10/3.
Van Gerwen, meanwhile, has fond memories of the BetMGM Premier League in Berlin. Mighty Mike won in the German capital last year and won the Play-offs Night in 2022 to become champion for the seventh time – he is an appealing 13/2 to halt Littler’s winning run and open his own nightly account at the same time.
The full Night 9 winner odds are:
Littler almost followed his memorable nine-darter Cardiff with another in the very first leg in Newcastle last week. He couldn’t quite make it happen but he did, alongside Humphries and Cross, receive his set of custom-made 18ct gold darts from us as a reward for achieving perfection already this season.
It’s 6/1 for a perfect leg to be hit at any point on the night in Berlin and 66/1 if you think there’ll be two or more, as happened in Brighton on Night 5.
The 180s have been flying this year, with Littler in particular hitting them for fun. Five of the eight nights so far have seen over 43.5 maximums and BetMGM has Evens that it will happen again.
Other markets including checkouts, over/under legs, King of the Oche and specific doubles to be hit are all available throughout this year’s BetMGM Premier League, with a whole host of markets on offer in-play.
