Europa League: Knockout Phase Play-Offs 2nd Leg Tips
The Europa League’s play-off round was full of drama in the first leg and the second leg promises to be no different as 16 teams battle it out for a spot in the next round across eight matches on Thursday.
Tip 1 - Both teams to score and Bodo/Glimt to beat FC Twente @ 43/20
Former Norwich striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel netted a 95th minute penalty to give Twente a 2-1 win over Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of this play-off clash but the Norwegian side are fancied to return the favour with a win in the second leg.
The hosts have won 13 of their last 16 home games in all competitions and that is in sharp contrast with Twente’s away record in which they have won just two of their last nine road trips.
Both teams scoring has been a feature of Bodo’s recent matches. Seven of their last eight home games have seen both teams find the net and they are fancied to edge an end-to-end affair.
Tip 2 - Roma to beat Porto @ 8/11
Roma drew 1-1 with Porto in the first leg of their Europa League play-off clash in controversial circumstances.
Claudio Ranieri made his displeasure with the refereeing performance clear after the match in which his team picked up six yellow cards and a red, meaning that they will be without Bryan Cristante for this clash.
Roma have been rock solid at home however, winning seven of their last eight at the Stadio Olimpico. They are fancied to get the better of a Porto side who have only two wins from their last 10 outings and had to grind out a 1-0 success against Farense last time out.
The Wolves are fancied to progress with a win in 90 minutes.
Tip 3 - FCSB draw no bet vs PAOK @ 19/20
FCSB picked up a 2-1 win over PAOK away from home in the first leg of their Europa League play-off and they could back it up with a home win.
The Greek side will have to send bodies forward at some point as they look to overcome the deficit and that may play right into the hosts’ hands.
They have also been something of a surprise package in this competition this season, they have only lost one of their last six outings and are fancied in the draw no bet market against a PAOK side who have lost three of their last five matches.
Tip 4 - Over 3.5 goals in Ajax vs Union Saint-Gilloise @ 17/10
Ajax secured a 2-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise in the first leg of this play-off round and this could be a high-scoring second match as a result.
The visitors will really have to force the issue if they are to overturn the deficit and they could leave themselves vulnerable at the back as a result.
Eight of Ajax’s last 15 home games have produced four or more goals and they can play their part in what may be a highly entertaining affair. Over 3.5 goals is our pick here.
