LAURA WOODS: 1 PLAYER PREMIER LEAGUE TEAMS NEED IN SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW

LIVERPOOL: ALEXANDER ISAK

A centre forward would elevate this Liverpool side to that next level.

Alexander Isak is one of the few strikers out there who ticks all the boxes. He’s got to be on the radar.

Clinical, versatile, Premier League proven and still with age on his side… he’s got it all.

He could do even more damage in that team, with the quality they have, and make Liverpool favourites for back-to-back titles.

MANCHESTER UNITED: VIKTOR GYOKERES

Where to start?!

Manchester United need yet another rebuild on top of the last rebuild and the one before that.

Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP might be a good place to begin.

He knows Ruben Amorim’s system from their time together at Sporting and United’s current attack is absolutely dire.

He’s a big, physical presence, is good in the air and, most importantly, he can finish.

Those are all attributes United’s attack are seriously lacking.

CHELSEA: VICTOR OSIMHEN

It’s the same story for Chelsea: a consistent number nine would do wonders for them and their prospects of being in the title picture.

Someone like Victor Osimhen to get on the end of the chances the likes of Cole Palmer creates and, while I like Nicolas Jackson, Osimhen would be an improvement on him.

Chelsea started off the season really well but they’ve lacked firepower over the second half of the campaign.

He is a proven goalscorer and the fans would love him. Given Napoli’s financial troubles, he might not cost as much you’d think either.

ARSENAL: ALEXANDER ISAK

I’m going to choose Alexander Isak again here.

He’s in high demand for good reason and is, in many ways, perfect for Arsenal.

They’ve made do with the goal options they have but they’ve been crying out for a number nine for a long time now.

Isak would complement Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka perfectly as he can lead the line or he can drop deep.

He’d thrive in this Arsenal side and could take them to the next level: a Premier League title.

TOTTENHAM: MATHEUS CUNHA

It’s been a poor, poor season for Tottenham. They’re not even being mocked anymore, they’ve been forgotten about – that’s how bad it’s got.

In terms of a new signing, they’ve had injuries and issues with scoring, so another striker must be on the shopping list.

Realistically Tottenham is not a desired destination at the moment but someone like Matheus Cunha from Wolves would be a vast improvement on what they’ve currently got.

They’re incredibly leaky, low on confidence and really we don’t know what the situation is going to be next season with the manager because this team has fallen severely under par.

But if nothing changes, Cunha would be a big upgrade and is the sort of player they need to be looking at to help improve their fortunes.

MANCHESTER CITY: BRUNO GUIMARAES

I think Manchester City need a central midfielder.

Sorry Newcastle fans, but someone like Bruno Guimaraes would slot in really well in Pep Guardiola’s side.

He’s a big-game player, especially in the Premier League, has excellent vision and ability, is creative, picks out passes and he can press well.

If City want to start their rebuild, he’s a perfect fit.

NEWCASTLE: MARC GUEHI

Now here’s a team that isn't lacking in the striker department!

Newcastle’s priority should be keeping hold of Alexander Isak because they’ve created something special this season, winning the League Cup and fighting for a return to the Champions League.

There are so many teams sniffing around Isak but they must make sure they don’t lose him.

Luckily, his price tag is off-putting enough and I doubt they’d let go of him easily while he’s under contract.

If they could sign a new centre-back like Marc Guehi they could really kick on.

They’ve been decimated with injuries at the back for a few seasons now and, if they do qualify for the Champions League again, they’re going to need a confident and vocal defender who can slot in comfortably.

He’s the full package, he’s young and he’s English. What’s there not to like? Strengthen the defence and push forward next season.
