Premier League Gameweek 25 Tips: 25/1 accumulator
The Premier League is back in full swing this week as Brighton and Chelsea kick off Gameweek 25 at the Amex Stadium on Friday evening.
There are seven fixtures taking place on Saturday, including TV clashes involving Leicester and Arsenal and Crystal Palace and Everton, while leaders Liverpool take on Wolves on Sunday before Tottenham host Manchester United.
Below we have compiled some of the best value tips on offer in the top flight this weekend.
- Newcastle or draw double chance vs Manchester City @ 17/20
- Over 2.5 Aston Villa goals vs Ipswich @ 7/5
- Bryan Mbeumo to score in West Ham vs Brentford @ 43/20
- Crystal Palace to beat Everton @ 17/20
Tip 1 – Newcastle or draw double chance vs Manchester City @ 17/20
Newcastle have their sights set on domestic cup glory this season but Eddie Howe's Magpies will also be eyeing a top-four finish and will be confident of causing Manchester City a few problems at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.
After a sluggish 2-1 FA Cup win over Leyton Orient, the Citizens' struggles continued on Tuesday as they let a 2-1 lead slip in an entertaining 3-2 Champions League knockout-phase play-off loss at home to Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola's men will be hoping for redemption in the Spanish capital on Wednesday but first they will have to pick themselves up for a clash with a Newcastle side who will relish the chance to cause an upset.
The visitors have claimed six straight away wins in all competitions, including victories over Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal, and they held City to a 1-1 draw when the teams met at St James' Park in September.
Tip 2 – Over 2.5 Aston Villa goals vs Ipswich @ 7/5
Aston Villa hope to have Ollie Watkins back for this home clash with Ipswich but Unai Emery is unlikely to be concerned by a lack of firepower if the England striker is unavailable on Saturday afternoon.
New boys Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio both impressed after coming off the bench in the 2-1 FA Cup victory over Tottenham last weekend, adding further options to a dangerous forward line which could also feature any of Watkins, Leon Bailey, Jacob Ramsey and Donyell Malen.
The hosts have won seven of their last nine Villa Park matches, scoring at least twice in six of their last seven at home, so will be full of confidence for this Gameweek 25 clash.
Relegation-threatened Ipswich, meanwhile, have lost four consecutive Premier League matches, shipping 14 goals in the process, and could be put to the sword.
Tip 3 – Bryan Mbeumo to score in West Ham vs Brentford @ 43/20
Brentford have finally started to hit form on their travels, demolishing struggling Southampton 5-0 and seeing off Crystal Palace 2-1 in their last two away matches, and star striker Bryan Mbeumo has been at the heart of those successes.
The Cameroonian notched twice against the Saints and once against Palace and he looks a solid bet to find the net when the Bees head across London to face West Ham on Saturday.
Mbeumo scored after just 37 seconds when these sides met at the Gtech Community Stadium in September and will be licking his lips at the prospect of another clash with the Hammers, who shipped two goals in each of their first two home matches under Graham Potter.
Tip 4 – Crystal Palace to beat Everton @ 17/20
David Moyes' second spell as Everton boss scaled new heights on Wednesday as they claimed a last-gasp 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the final Goodison Park Merseyside derby.
However, there are no guarantees the Toffees will be able to replicate that performance at in-form Crystal Palace.
Five of Everton's six matches under Moyes have been at home, and while their only road outing resulted in a 1-0 win at Brighton, their sole shot on target in that contest came from Iliman Ndiaye's successful penalty.
Given the magnitude of their midweek efforts, it would be no surprise if Everton struggle to cope with the three-day turnaround and Palace, who have won four of their last six Premier League matches, could take advantage.
