Premier League Gameweek 32 Betting Tips: 55/1 Accumulator

Most things in the Premier League are beginning to look a foregone conclusion, with Liverpool romping to the title and Ipswich and Leicester surely joining Southampton in the relegation club.

However, there are still a number of European places up for grabs and, with so many teams battling it out for those spots, there is still plenty of excitement to be had in England’s top flight this weekend.

Newcastle’s clash with Manchester United (Sunday, 16:30) is the standout fixture and we have picked a top tip for that game, as well as three others, to create a 55/1 Premier League accumulator.

Tip 1 – Jean-Philippe Mateta anytime goalscorer @ 2/1

Manchester City v Crystal Palace (Saturday, 12:30)

It is rare that the reigning champions find themselves wishing for the end of the season to arrive sooner, but that is exactly the predicament Manchester City find themselves in.

Pep Guardiola’s side are sixth heading into the weekend, meaning they must pick up some wins soon if they are to finish in the top five and secure the minimum goal for a club of their stature - Champions League football.

They are strong favourites for Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace but it is unlikely to be plain sailing for the champions as the Eagles have won seven of their last eight games, with Jean-Philippe Mateta at the forefront of their strong run.

Just as he did last season, the Frenchman is ending the season with a bang. The Eagles forward has netted nine goals in his last 10 Premier League appearances and he can make it three strikes in four meetings with the Citizens on Saturday.

Tip 2 – Aston Villa to win and both teams to score @ 19/10

Southampton vs Aston Villa (Saturday, 15:00)

A flat mood can be expected at St Mary’s on Saturday as Southampton’s 3-1 loss at Tottenham last weekend made history, marking the earliest a side has ever been relegated from the Premier League.

They have, at least, been giving their fans something to cheer about in recent outings, finding the net in four straight games. Although those goals have resulted in just one point being gained.

The Saints are stuck on 10 points - still one below Derby’s record-low tally of 11 - and while they will be keen to build on that lowly total, they are unlikely to do so against Aston Villa, even if finding the net.

This match falls between Villa’s Champions League quarter-final legs against PSG and Unai Emery may rest players as a result. However, the Villans have a very deep squad and can secure an eighth win in nine matches on Saturday.

Tip 3 – Brentford or draw double chance @ 27/20

Arsenal v Brentford (Saturday, 17:30)

Arsenal are in dreamland after Tuesday’s 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final and they will be keen to keep momentum high ahead of next week’s trip to the Bernabeu.

Many had ruled them out against Real but with progression into the semi-finals now a real possibility, the Premier League could take a backseat for the Gunners, especially as they are pretty much nailed-on for second - they are nine points behind Liverpool and five ahead of Nottingham Forest in third.

With that in mind, Mikel Arteta may rest players for Saturday’s visit from Brentford, with Tuesday’s heroes Mikel Merino and Declan Rice, as well as Bukayo Saka, some of those likely to be given a break.

That could open the door for a talented Bees side to secure a positive result at the Emirates and given Thomas Frank’s team have lost just one of their last seven away games, winning five of those, there is every chance they earn a point from this London derby.

Tip 4 – Newcastle to win to nil @ 19/10

Newcastle United v Manchester United (Sunday 16:30)

It has been another season to forget for Manchester United and things are unlikely to get any better on Sunday as they face a tricky trip to St James’ Park to take on an in-form Newcastle.

The Red Devils may be fatigued, too, following the Europa League tussle with Lyon on Thursday, further tipping the balance in the hosts’ favour.

Newcastle won the League Cup in March and are seemingly still riding the crest of that wave, beating Brentford and Leicester in their two subsequent games to remain firmly in the hunt for a top-five finish.

With Manchester United eight places below and 15 points worse off than the Magpies, distracted by their Europa League quarter-final and failing to score in two straight Premier League games, it could pay to back Newcastle to secure a comfortable victory, just as they did when winning the reverse fixture 2-0.
