Megan's Betting Tips Week 35
SATURDAY RACING TIPS
Curragh 2.20 – Irish EBF Stakes
I am looking forward to this one. Dreamy (15/8 fav) goes here having won the Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Goodwood on her debut with a likeable performance.
She possibly got a little outpaced as the race quickened up but she stayed on really nicely, showing a good attitude to be well on top at the line.
She steps up in grade here but we know Aidan O’Brien’s two-year-olds can improve a good amount from first to second starts. If she does, then we could well have a smart filly on our hands.
Well fancied at Goodwood, I think there will be plenty of support for her here too. I’m looking forward to seeing her back in action as I think she’s a really smart filly.
Megan’s Selection: Dreamy WIN
Sandown 2.25 – Atalanta Stakes
Tamfana (Evs) is a filly I have always liked.
She has kept improving and seems versatile in terms of ground; she’s possibly a little bit better with a bit of cut, though she’s gone fine on good ground before too.
Tamfana has not been disgraced at the top level and drops back down in grade here for this one. It is a nice opportunity for her to get her head back in front. She should take all the beating.
Megan’s Selection: Tamfana WIN
Curragh 2.50 – Round Tower Stakes
Rudi's Apple (4/1) is a horse I actually tried to buy as a two-year-old at the breeze-up sales in Doncaster. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get him but he’s done very well for Joseph O’Brien.
He ran at the very top level last time in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh. Although he wasn’t at his very best that day, the race was exceptionally strong and the form has worked out well since.
Rudi’s Apple got off the mark at the Curragh, so he has course form and can continue to progress from here. He is the one they have to beat.
Megan’s Selection: Rudi’s Apple WIN

Chester 3.15 – Chester Stakes
I’ve gone with her a couple of times and she’s gone close without getting her head in front – but I’m going to stick with Caius Chorister (2/1 fav).
She’s down to Listed company, she’s very talented and has been competing in a higher grade this season.
She’s been consistent and the 1m 6f distance is arguably the optimum trip, so being back to that is a positive. Having James Doyle on board won’t be any harm either.
It’s a red-hot race for a Listed race. It’s very competitive and I just think Caius Chorister might have a little bit of class over one or two who have been running in some deep handicaps.
I just think dropping down from the group company makes her chances pretty attractive.
Megan’s Selection: Caius Chorister WIN
Sandown 3.35 – Solario Stakes
Field Of Gold (7/4 fav) looks like the one here.
He got upset in the stalls on his debut at Doncaster, which ruined his chances slightly in what turned out to be a pretty tidy novice race. Field Of Gold managed to leave that behind him to come and win very impressively at Newmarket next time. Jockey Kieran Shoemark was very complimentary about the horse after Newmarket and he deserves to take his chance now up in grade.
It’s a race with plenty of unexposed types who are all stepping up. That leaves it wide open and plenty of these could still be big improvers. But I like the way Field Of Gold quickened up and pulled clear of the field last time out and we could well have a nice horse here.
Megan’s Selection: Field Of Gold WIN
